Alison Jamieson

Alison Jamieson is co-author with Alessandro Silj of Migration and Criminality: the Case of Albanians in Italy, Ethnobarometer Working Paper Series No. 1

Alison Jamieson is an independent consultant and author on issues of political violence, organised crime and drugs. She was born and educated in Scotland but has lived in Italy since 1984. Her publications include: Terrorism and Drug Trafficking in Europe in the 1990s (Dartmouth, 1994); Le organizzazioni mafiose (chapter) in Storia d'Italia, Annale Criminalità (ed. L. Violante), Einaudi, 1997; The Antimafia (Macmillan Press, forthcoming). In 1995–1996 she was consultant to the UN International Drug Control Programme and was project manager/principal author of UNDCP's World Drug Report (OUP 1997).
