Alessandro Silj

Alessandro Silj is co-author with Alison Jamieson of Migration and Criminality: the Case of Albanians in Italy, Ethnobarometer Working Paper Series No. 1

Alessandro Silj is co-Director of the Ethnobarometer Programme and author of several books and essays on European affairs and Italian politics. Born in Italy, he spent several years abroad, in Belgium and in the United States. His recent publications include Malpaese (Donzelli, Roma, 1994), a history of illegality in Italian politics, 1945–1994; and L'alleato scomodo (Corbaccio, Milano, 1998), an analysis of Italian and American Middle East policies and different approaches to international terrorism.
